Good on him! Though, that's not the bike I would necessarily have chosen for riding that long of a distance. I think maybe some wider tires and he wouldn't have had to detour around the gravel roads!

Now that is amazing! How can he top 8,000 miles? Now him or someone else has to do it twice...lol! Or, I suppose someone could do it in a shorter period of time.....hmmmm......nahhh i'm too old. :)

143 miles a day doesn't sound too bad. Until you think about doing it every single day for two straight months.

The article said his father was following him in a motorhome. I imagine he slept there some.

That is awesome! Looks like he just "nicked" some of the states. Reminds me of the time my brother and I rode to the border control of Liechtenstein, took the "Welcome to..." photo and backtracked to Austria to enter Switzerland a little further north. Hey, we made it there!

That had to be one crazy tough ride. I would imagine that he had to choose roads that were unsafe so as to assure shortest distance to all states.

Crazy - but hey he's in the record books.

143 miles per day for 57 days is really really impressive, I wonder if RAAM may be in his future?

In RAAM don't they do about 2-2 1/2x that many miles in a day. Still a verry awsome achevment.

That's amazing. Imagine just trying to get up every morning after the first few weeks and thinking LETS GO BIKING!
