Great Lakes - aham23 goes to East Lansing, MI.....

.....next week. business will have me blocks from MSU next week. i will be bringing the running gear and may drag up the cycling gear as well. looks like i will be busy until 5pm each night and with the days getting shorter i wonder if any groups are still rolling during the week??

anyone care to shoot me some info on a weekday group ride for next week. if you have a route or two you ride (heck even run) and know is decent, post it or PM me the map link. if i am away from the family i might as well ride and run myself silly with whatever daylight i have. later.

It's been a while since I've been there, but don't forget you're on the west end of the time zone, that should buy you some extra light. Lets see you loose an hour going to EST and loose again 15 mins per degree x 3 1/2 degrees that you loose going east ... so, yup, it should be dark by noon. :D

If you can come up Sunday and want to drive a couple more hours there is the Leelanau Harvest Tour. (http://www.cherrycapitalcyclingclub.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=87045&module_id=62131) This is one of my favorite rides of the year. There are plenty of hills (it's no HHH) and great food. The 100 mile route runs some of the best roads in Michigan. If you get this close you really need to do this ride.

If you want to make the trek You can jump in with our group, I think you would match up well and have fun.
