Does anyone know if you can switch out the bar ends that come on Ergon GR2's with with Ergon GP1's? I have a pair of GR2's for a gripshift bike and my new bike does not have gripshift but i dont want to fork out the price for another set of GR2's if I can simply buy the cheaper GP1's without the bar ends and swap them out.

thanks!

I'm going to say, probably not, based on observation of how the grip ends look. I have a carbon fiber pair of GP1 and magnesium bar end GR2. I don't see interchangeability there. Have you tried asking the manufacturer? http://www.ergon-bike.com/us/en/home

Yes, I finally got a response from Ergon. THey said that because the GP1 uses clamps to hold the grips and the GC2 uses the actual bar ends as clamps they would not be compatible. I still dont see how you could not use the ends of the GC2 to act as the clamp for the GP1? oh well though, I sent them back this morning hoping for a simple swap out, but who knows what they will say.
