Hey there, you may want to check-out the Hybrid section or anything hybrid, a good place to start is with such a bike. Many riders do well with them on roads and not so hairy trails. Click on the Jamis site if for no other reason than to get an idea what's out there, they display the tipos clearly. Hybrids can have other names, some are faster and others are ....

Hello Rodrigo,

Make a begining by riding bicycle of any of your friends as that will kindle interest in you and would also give you an opportunity to decide what kind of bike you would like to buy. You can then go for your own bike and ejoy riding.

Wishing you a safe, happy and adventurous cycling.

I got a bike! Its a Fuji League Road Bike, Im guessing it's from the 80's. My mom's personal trainer had it, and she competes in triathalons and bike races so she had it from back in the day. I love it!

Well, my friend was throwing away a bike, and I told him I would take it! So....I got another bike! lol =) It's a Cannondale m700 mountain bike =)
I got it but it was missing the front wheel..so I went to my local bike shop and asked someone for advice and ended up getting a 26x2.10 front wheel, 26x2.10 MTB tires, and inner tubes. When I got home I realized the rear wheel was 26x1.6 and the valve stem was a Presta not a Schrader. So I assembled the front wheel but the Schrader valve stem doesn't fit on the rear wheel, My question is, Should I keep the 26x2.10 tire on the rear 26x1.6 rear wheel and get a tube with a Presta valve stem? or exchange the front wheel for a 26x1.6 with a Presta valve stem to match the rear?
Im a newb =( help please! =]
