She carries her own weight. We've gone as far as 55 miles before with minimal stops.

I'm 5'3, I own a tandem too. It is Cannondale front for anyone 5'6 & taller back sattle fit my height.

That's a bit cryptic. I saw you are not near the strand. I saw you are near Culver City. I know where that is. I have been to Culver City about 1000 times. Marina Del Rey is near Culver City, and near Playa Del Rey and at the north end of the strand/bike path. I have been thru' Marina Del Rey & Playa Del Rey about 1000 times.
The strand/bike path connects with Ballona Creek bike path.
