I just purchased (had imported from Netherlands to USA) the new M5 Ligfietsen Shockproof 559 Titanium bicycle. It seems the coolest recumbents are all coming out of Europe, specifically the Netherlands. I purchased this bike because it has dual 26" wheels and is fully suspended. I considered bikes from Volae and Bachetta but they offer no suspension. I chose titanium because of the lighter weight (suprisingly it's not as light as you would think). I have posted 18 high resolution photographs (800 x 600) and a complete review of my experience with the bike from purchase to assembly to my first rides. Because there is so little information on the M5's here in the USA; those of you considering a dual 26" recumbent may be interested in this information. The complete review can be found at:

Mmh..im surprised its so heavy. Ive got a Cromoly 406 Shockproof that I ride around everywhere on and I have to say, its a blast. Didnt seem that heavy though. Like you, ive got the rack, not the Ti version though. Ill have to go weigh my bike and see how much it amounts too. I wonder if the larger wheels account for some of the 'extra' weight?

Nice review. Wgt is a stunner. M5 in general are heavy bikes and it may have over
size tubing for your weight. ALL recumbents are twitchy, it took me about 300mi
before I got the gyrations down under 1ft peak to peak in the side to side direction.
After a while control will come. With that kind of steering you will find that the lighter you grip the bars, the less wobbly the bike will feel. Cultivate a light feel when
gripping. Of course the twist shift makes this more difficult. Steve
