There may be a solution! Gene therapy!!

They were able to get adult squirrel monkeys to develop full color vision just by injecting the gene for L-opsin into the monkeys' eyes. Amazing, what science can do.

Science rocks! Next, we'll be able to breed humans and spiders to make the ultimate creepy thing.

Yup, and soon their eyes will mutate at a rapid rate and then we'll have squirrel monkeys with lazer eyes and perfect vision trying to enslave the world! :twitchy:

I'm not, but one of my brothers is. He's so color blind, he couldn't even play "Red Light-Green Light (http://www.gameskidsplay.net/games/sensing_games/rl_gl.htm)", as a kid. :(

I wouldn't mind tetrachromatic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrachromacy) vision myself, especially being able to see in the IR or UV spectrum.

I am neither color blind nor colour blind. I see everything in plaid.

I'm color blind. Tried to join the military when I was 18. Failed their color blindness test, the one where you're supposed to pick the hidden image. Primary colors are no problem, however.
I'm also night blind and going blind due to glaucoma.

Can't wait for someone to come out with something like Geordi LaForge had on Star Trek TNG.

I think I will stay color-blind, though. It is an excellent unorthodox way of striking up conversations with females;

"Excuse me, I am extremely color-blind, does this tie match this shirt?" :lol:

So, the gene actually makes adults grow new cones in their eyes. Astounding.

When I was 18, I had a physical before college, and I was given the dots-in-a-book test. I failed at page 2, lol. I had no idea before then.

That circle in post #22, is actually a "smiley", and it says, "have a nice day" on it. Honest.

My female cousin is color blind. True story.

I don't buy it. She must be hiding a sausage in 'her' pants. :p
