Anyone else notice that Lance's face is a bit "puffy" in post-race interviews on stages where he's put in a big effort? I've never seen this happen to anyone else. Not sure what to make of it. Curious.

He seems downright gaunt to me now. I was thinking today that he must have lost 5 - 10 lbs by now... Maybe you saw him in a bad camera angle or something.
Another thing I've noticed is his nose. Sure, he spends time in the sun each day but why does he come out looking like Rudolph (the reindeer) every time I see him on camera? Somebody give him some sunscreen.

i agree with Moonshot. he looks gaunt. he has no fat in his cheeks and they look like that are just flopping around like loose skin.

As Lance said: "She's a rock star." I guess that's what does it for him.

I agree also. When I saw his interview after Stage 15 I thought he looked very thin. Anything else and you're just trying to "invent" things.

I noticed this the first TdF I watched (2000 I think). He always "thins" out as the TdF progresses. All riders do to an extent, but when its Lance you're looking at for the better part of the race, then it seems more pronounced in him. It's nothing unusual.
He burns in excess of 100,000 calories (http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/12.07/armstrong.html) during the Tour. About 30 pounds!
Haven't noticed any puffiness.

Puffiness? Armstrong's face always looks really bare to me (since his chemo treatment)
Maybe the colouration is giving a misperception

I did notice those pipes (arms) during the victory yesterday, and the "Bring it on" cover of SI captures some big looking arms.
As far as the face goes, its called being exhausted (flat affect).

I agree with you..and when you look at Hincapie, it's obvious that both George and Lance have "gaunt to hell and back"....
