Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just bought a new bike tonight at Walmart. Its a Roadmaster Mount Fury but the problem is that when I was riding it back home since I took the bus there, the chain was rattling or some other thing was rattling a little as I rode home. Do you know what this would be? Is it easy to fix? I had to exchange the first bike I got tonight cause the kickstand was way too tight and then the guy discovered the front wheel was whobbly too. I hope someone can help me out since my knowledge with bikes is quite limited.

Ear plugs!
Return it, go to a bike shop and buy one that fits and is assembled by someone who knows about bikes.
Seriously, save you cash and buy a decent bike if you plan to ride off-road.
If you're going to just ride around the neighborhood, get used to wierd noises.

jpsimon, most of the things wrong with a bike can be fixed with yourself. Take a little time and patience to see what's wrong with it. All the tools you need should be lying around your house somewhere. It would be a very nice learning experience. Knowing how to do simple repairs is an invaluable skill for when you do get that really nice shiny bike.
But of course if it's something that can't be repaired, you always have the receipt and you can return it :)
