I flat spotted my rear tire today while avoiding a crash..

I've already removed the damaged tire, but there is a fair bit of glue on the carbon rim...

What should I do before prepping the rim for a new tire?

1. remove ALL of the old glue completely.

2. leave the old glue in place and just put new glue over it...

???

Knock the old glue down so there aren't any huge peaks.
1 coat on tire
1 coat on rim
1 coat on tire
install tire when both tire and rim are tacky
straighten tire
fill tire to 160psi
wait

I personally like leaning my wheel on the front of a dehumidifier for a few hours, but everyone is different.

Goo Gone. Then start the re-gluing process.
