Foo - Help me think of this artist's name

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
There is a room dedicated to his work in the Chicago Museum. He does these very stylized jungle scapes, almost pointillism, uses bold colors that sorta of look like tempura paint.
He compared himself to Picasso saying that he painted in the classic style and Picasso in the Egyptian style.
Anyone know who I'm trying to think up?

I don't know if he has a room in the Chicago Art Museum, but the name that came to mind for me was Georges Seurat
*edit, missed "jungle themes", Seurat doesn't fit.
hmm...
Nope, but you are on the right track. More whimsical style.
