So I'm back in Indianapolis currently, awaiting my grand return to my hometown, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I figured it would be worth looking around for C&V bikes here and there, because it seems that not that many people ride. Maybe they bought a nice Trek 170 and never used it, and are now wanting to part with it for $50. Stranger things have happened.

I seek partly because of just the fun of the hunt, but also because I don't have anything to ride here in Indy when I'm home and I also want to get my bro-in-law into cycling. I figure if a nice bike is sitting here all year when I'm not, hey, maybe he'll hop on it occasionally.

Realistically, I'll find a stash of crap-tastic Huffys and the like. But hey, I also threw up a WTB on Craigslist for old Paramounts and Volares and Brooks Saddles so here goes nothing.

But wish me luck I find something good! :) I'm also planning an early morning garage sale run tomorrow...

I take it you've been, then :)

Oh boy, I can't wait to battle cars...fortunately this is a short-stop type of visit, then it'll be back to the cushy, bike-friendly ways of Ore.

Um.... Indianapolis is a VERY active bicycle city. Look up CIBA. There is a velodrome in Indianapolis for goodness sakes.

Sorry about your return to Ft Wayne, IN.

Ouch. I don't think Ft. Wayne is too bad, as long as you aren't in the city limits. Lots of wide open country roads to the east, west, north and south of the city.
