General Cycling Discussion - Bob Roll--is it "bob-key" or "boob-ka"?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've heard two ways of saying Roll's nickname. Which is it?
Thanks.

I would think that would depend on whether you say "Tour dey france" or "Tour duh France".
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yeah, that's what Roll's book says so you'd think it would be correct. Yet, Al Trautwig keeps saying it the other way, right to his face--could it be some sort of joke Bob is playing on "poor old Al"?

Or is Al having fun at Bob's expense?
If Al is teasing Bob, it's too bad. He just makes himself look even more clueless.
How about just "boob"? I don't know, I guess he's amusing, but to me, he's more like fingernails on a chalk board.

No, that would have been Robin Williams.
I'm sure OLN is jsut trying to appeal to a broader, more American audience, but since I can't get up at 3:30 AM I have found myself learing to work my VCR so I can hear Phil and Paul call the race. So much more knowledgeable and concise.
