So I was on the phone with my ex earlier and she told me that she stopped at a Burger King this morning to get breakfast on the way to work. As she was driving away she took a sip of her soda, which turned out to be about half bleach. She brought it back and told them what happened and the manager nonchalantly offered to get her a fresh Dr. Pepper. They thought that was the end. Well, my feisty ex apparently tore them a new one. She made them write an incident report stating that they had cleaned the lines that morning, with bleach. WTF? If I was a manager at any place serving fountain drinks, and that happened, I would be apologizing and praying that there was not going to be a lawsuit. She called their corporate office and let them know of the incident. They handled it a little more appropriately. The big issue there is how many people got bleach in the soda? How many kids got bleach in their soda? It baffles me that a manager seemed to have any concern about the issue. Craziness.

Typically, bleach consumption leads to memmory loss.... we will never know how many people have been bleach-poisined by that Burger King.

Oh, and she found it only mildly amusing that I told her it was too bad that it wasn't all bleach, and that she didn't finish it.

I always knew there was a reason (other than the creepy commercials and crappy food) that I didn't eat at Burger King.

Yo, crackerjab's ex, I'm happy for you and I'll let you get your Dr. Pepper. I just wanna say that McDonald's kills people better than Burger King.

That reminds me of one of Winston Churchill's infamous quotes:

Lady Astor: Winston, if I was your wife I'd put poison in your tea!
Sir Winstin: Madam, if I were your wife, I'd drink it!

NEWSFLASH. If any of the appropriate food inspectors learnt that they were NOT cleaning their soda machines periodically with bleach then they would be is serious trouble. I used to drive icecream vending vans and we cleaned the soft serve machines out EVERY day with mild bleach. We used Napisan. The trouble here is they didn't rinse it out properly.

Man talk about a storm in a tea cup.

I can do better (or worse). Went to a BK once. They were pouring soda pop out of two liter bottles they got from the store across the parking lot. I figured either their pop machine was broke or that they were out of CO2. WRONG!! They had no water pressure at all in the building. I called the County Health Dept.

They shut the doors before an inspector could get there. Turns out the District Manager told the staff to do it because it was just temporary.

If it does, then you have solved the skid mark problem.
