Yup, 7 oz. or about 170grams. That's the weight difference from the 8sp Campy Mirage crank and Centaur BB that was on my PedalForce, to the new Centaur CF compact crank and BB cups that are on it now. Not a bad weight loss program!

The new 10sp crank works well with the rest of the 8sp groupset that's on it. I had to lower the front der, and make some minor changes to the limit screws, but other than that, it's shifting fine. I might decide to remove 1 link from the chain, or when I change it next time, make the new one a link shorter. But other than that, there aren't any issues.

Wonder if I'll notice the increase in stiffness with the new setup?

Now I have a LOW gear at 34/26! That should make some of the steeps a lot easier. I'll find out on Sunday.

Nice - report back on your findings - I really like my 50/34. It's surprising how useable a 50T ring is.

I have an older Campy crank (Centaur or Chorus, I forget), new enough to be UT, but a few years old. I was surprised at how much more it seemed to weigh than the 2009 Centaur alloy crank on the Cinelli.

Considering that, I'm not surprised that the difference between such an old and relatively low-spec crank and a brand new carbon compact one is nearly a half pound.
