My wife ran over somwething on our ride the other day and thankfully we where not to far from home but the damage was done she has almost new Michelin Country rocks and thanks to my job small funds.

The question is there appears to be a small slit in the tire, less than a quarter inch, and I have yet to dismount the tire to see how big the slit is on the inside. is it possible to save this tire she rides only when it is a family outing and never more than 20 miles. will a rubber patch work on the inside or is the fix something as redneck as duct tape???

Put a small piece of duck tape over the slit inside the tire.
It keeps the tube from getting pinched.

A patch would/could work just fine.
Then put one layer of duct tape (larger than the patch) over that.

Daytona Beach......You are gonna get a beer bottle once in a while.

Tire Patch it and get you some Tire Liners. Should be fine if it is 1/4" or less. I run "Mr. Tuffys" in my Big Apples.

It is always good to have some of the Park Tire Boots around just in case you need one.. You can usually cut them in half because they are pretty big.. They also work with side wall cuts too..

thanks again guys took it apart today and the slit on the inside of the tube is so small less than 1/8 inch so a new tube and a repair for the tire is in order!
