I have a tricross frame I am building up & notice the original build used a bottom pull Sram derailleur. I am building up with Shimano 10 Speed. Do I need to stay with a bottom pull Der.? Would Shimano XTR be a good choice or or there others? Thanks.

FD cable is routed along the down-tube on the Tricross, so yes, you need a bottom-pull FD. Which one you use depends on chainring sizes and the type of shifter you are using.
