Is the Mark V worth the money? It's $150 more than a Kilo TT and and $200 more than a Windsor hour. Is it really worth this extra money and why?

Yes, no? Worth is the price a person will pay.

It's 2/3 lbs lighter than the BD bikes, if weight is your thing.

Pretty much.
It all depends on what you want on your bike, etc.

Yeah it's worth it. I've owned mine for a while, i only paid something like $400 for mine from the site because it had a little scratch on the frame haha. I changed a few things, the fork is really heavy so i got a Wound Up carbon fork and changed the seat (Rolls), pedals (MKS, TOSHI), chain (Izumi), tires (stock are actually not too bad, but i wrecked mine) i got Conntinental gator skins now, and stem (Easton EA50) and bars (syntace stratos)
they're great bikes and the warranty on them is amazing. 50% off new frames for the rest of your life

buy the iro if you can afford it. It's a better bike all around.

The Mark V is an outstanding frame. I'm building mine up as we speak. Can't go wrong with an IRO.

How do you say it? Do you spell out I-R-O? Or is it like the name Ira, only with an "o" on the end?

Are you talking about my name? Or the name IRO?
To everyone else: So can anyone else confirm that the better components are worth the $150/200 more?
Are the Hour/TT decent?

Is it worth it to you? To me it would be. To some one else it would not. If you have cash burning a hole in your pocket go for it. If you are on a strict budge, I would say go with the bd bike. For me it is worth paying 1k+ and getting the exact bike I want.

It was worth it to me.
but seriously IRO's come with quality stuff. I really like their wheels. in fact, when I eventually do build up a new frame, I will probably order IRO wheels.

Get the Mark V and when you can afford it put a Nashbar carbon fork on it. The stock fork is crazy heavy plus it will ride smoother with a carbon one. Seriously, I'm not a weight weenie at all and was completely shocked by what an anchor the stock fork is. I have since bought a considerably more expensive bike that I'm probably going to sell because I prefer my Mark V.
