Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey all Bike Forumites, looking forward to tapping into the vast amount of expertise and knowledge of the bike forums! I have cycled since I was a young lad, but more than ever in the last 7 years. I love to ride as much as possible-- road, cross, mtn, touring, bike camping, long rides, night rides, winter rides, short cruiser rides, miniature novelty bikes, Tour De Fat, etc. I'm no mechanic or super-techi guy, but I can fix flats and do tune-ups fairly well. Luckily I am surrounded by amazing cyclists at my work and neighborhood who help me spend all of my expendable time, effort and income on this awesome hobby;). I occasionally race but not as much as I'd like to; my biggest roadblock is time, as I'm sure is most riders' issue as well. Part of the reason I joined tonight is a bike safety issue, which I'll post in the appropriate place. Ride on!
Chris
Very cool that you joined! There's a lot of people here with an amazing amount of experience and resources for you to pick our brains on - and have fun too. Personally I'm one of those wimmen riders who has been car free for many years and rides year round in NYS weather - just put studs on the mtb commuter for the first time last year and am sold. So I think you've investigated this forum pretty much - lots to offer here - definitely hit the regional portion - perhaps you can meet up with some people in your area - meeting up with other forumites is a plus - here and on any forum.
Enjoy!!! (I'm normally on commuting or foo btw)
