Oh yeah, a perceived rib injury is indicative of jsharr stealing your soul as well. Be careful. He tried to take mine once but I didn't have a soul to steal so, call me lucky.

Thanks for the well wishes and jokes folks. I'll admit, I had a few drinks in me at the time. So did the drunk I was avoiding. It's the price you pay for bar hopping while riding the bike. No big deal, I can deal with the little pain right now.

The bike is fine. I'm riding her during the G-20 in Pittsburgh this week. They have locked down the parking garage so I'm riding to work starting Weds. I have the pepper spray ready for the protesters if they try to fling their poo and pee at me.

I was thinking about this after we got done with our Couchology planning session last night when you told me about them. I've heard stories of people who broke their ribs not realizing it and went untreated and had worse problems because of it.

heh. When I hit the the trees ... (why does one block the path at the top of a fast steep climb with a hairy left turn - in order to fix their chain? I had a 10' sharp drop if I went straight, would hit another rider if I go left - tries to the right - tried to stop but the trees hit me.)

Knew I took out ribs - have broken the same ones several times before - darn right handlebar. Was in pain but ok that night, tequila helped I think. Next day though I couldn't breathe. Took bus to hospital - that was not fun.

Punctured lung.
