I have heel strike issues with the standard rack on my Dahon Boardwalk, and I'm considering getting the Dahon Traveller. However, if there's a better (stronger, improved aesthetics) rack that will work (fits well. doesn't compromise the fold), I'm interested. Anyone have a suggestion? Does anyone use Tubus or Nitto racks with Dahons?

If you have a shop where there are Topeak Super Tourist/DX racks, you could have a look if they would fit. I own such a rack on another bicycle (non disc brake version), but eyeballing it thought it would also fit on my 20" wheel Dahon (Mu P8), without affecting the fold. Caveat Lector.

You're heel striking the rack? Or a bag or pannier? I have the old touring rack on the Speed TR and I had a heck of a time finding a pannier that wouldn't heel strike.

I'm striking a trunk bag. I pushed the rack bag back a bit, and that helped. But I'd rather have a taller rack, with some more length.
