Folding Bikes - Saddle for my Downtube Nova

After a seven mile haul on my new Downtube Nova my saddle I think needs replacing.

I had some minor surgery on my lower back and pressure to the area has in the past caused a reoccurrence of my condition.

I have read in some past threads that gel is not good because of how weight is handled, but it's more so about suspension? Opinions?

Will I have a problem getting ANY saddle on a foldable?

I also don't want a leather saddle!

So if anyone could throw me some models I could research into, that would be swell!

Make sure the saddle meets your riding style and ischial tuberosity width.

I think you can also get a crane Creek trudbuster suspension seatpost which get good reviews in the downtube diametre.

I LIKE my Cloud 9 gel seat w/ rubber "springs" ("tricolor") .. kinda wide, definitely comfy. a little wide b/wn the legs, but ok i think. i like the rubber springs. $20, plus 5 shipping on amazon. good luck! f
