I sit down pretty much right away when I get to work. I've noticed that the first time I stand up again, I'm kind of stiff. It's occurred to me that some sort of post-commute "cool-down" may be a good idea.

Should I just stretch a bit? What sort of stretches are good for an office building? Should I just walk around the building for a few minutes?

Any suggestions?

Do some stretches for sure, just typical leg, back and arm stretches.

How far are you commuting one way? Ideally you wouldn't arrive and then immediately sit down; give yourself a 10 to 15 minute cool down period with some walking and stretching if possible.

The stiffness could be coming from other factors, like the ergonomics or lack thereof of your workstation. See if you can have a variable height monitor and keyboard, so that you can work standing up part of the day and seated the rest of the day.
