About 10 years ago i bought a Gitane grand sport deluxe at a garage sell for about $15. anyone know anyhting about this bike. is it worth keeping around?

It was near the bottom of the Gitane hierarchy. Probably not very collectible.

That's depressing - I'm still riding mine. Bought it in 1973 for about $150. Replaced Simplex with SunTour front and rear, and crankset with Sugino, all back in the late 70s sometime. Time for a new bike...

You shouldn't find it depressing. If you like the bike, you should continue riding it. No reason to buy a new one if this one meets your likes & needs.
