Just got into cycling would like to find some fellow riders in orange county CA area to ride with.. I can ride along the river bed for about 20-30 miles aroun 16-18mph. Can be available during the weeks at times. Weekends always. Eventaully I would like to join a club however need to increase my fitness first.

For a first group to ride with I suggest http://bike.meetup.com/355/ your speed/distance ability fits in with the group pretty well. They do lots of interesting rides around orange county (not just the river).

Don't forget to post to the Orange County Regional thread.

When you feel ready check out bikeirvine.org (Web site for Bicycle Club of Irvine or BCI). Large friendly road club. Saturdays are especially suit to new club riders. You can find your group (I would start with "yellow") and ride along. There is always a coffee stop in between so folks can regroup. Another good group is ocrebels.com (Orange County Rebel Riders).

If you post to the Orange County thread, Mr. Beanz is always organizing SART rides... Actually Beanz posts here too...
