Is this even possible? :)

I'm trying to figure out the reflection in the Airstream trailer...if it's a vehicle and the pic was taken from it, I'd guess the cyclist is really pulling. But the angle is wrong...

Sure it's possible. The trailer would need to have the weight distribution adjusted to reduce the tongue weight. It was probably stripped out as much as possible. Other than that, it's a matter of picking a nice flat road, having a strong cyclist, and slow starting. Brakes would be pretty worthless!

It's hard to be sure, but it appears that the bike's rear wheel has a higher spoke count than the front to handle the load.

Anyone notice the rider looks like Lee Harvey Oswald?

Anyone notice the rider looks like Lee Harvey Oswald? Yeah, and Marilyn Monroe and the Cigarette Smoking Man are in the trailer.

That looks like an old AirStream trailer. Those trailers were very balanced and light from the factory. Any person could hold that camper by the tongue.

Personally, I like the fact that he's doing it on a SS bike :)

Yes, this is an old, old Airstream ad to point out how well
they would balance and how very easy they would tow.

This stunt is really neat when you figure that the tires were
NOT easy rolling radials!!!!!!

The rider is Paul Letourneau, if I recall correctly.

Airstreams are another hobby of mine. I've had a '63 Tradewind and now have a '79 Minuet.

This stunt was recreated not too long ago at an Airstream rally. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Yeah, and Marilyn Monroe and the Cigarette Smoking Man are in the trailer.

If that's Oswald then JFK must be in the trailer with Marilyn and Elvis
