Mountain Biking - If I Put a 24" rear wheel on my p3, would i have enough ground clearance?

Hey i just got a new p.3 a few days ago and i'm wondering about throwing on a 24" instead, but my friend thinks it would be a bad idea, but i believe it would help my street riding, please let me know your thoughts.

For what?....

Yes 24" is fine on that bike for street...your biggest concern should be for the HA and the rake of the bike. On that bike it will be really raked out.

Not sure why it would help. Dual 24" with a 3 or 4 in fork is ideal. 26" with a 4 or 5 in if you are going bigger. 5" with a 24" rear will really mess the control and actually be worse for street. aT least imo :)

I know what you mean. I wouldn't do. Too raked out...especially for street...(again this imo. Most street guys I know run a pretty standard HA at like 69ish I guess...but it does varry)...

Your bike can handle it though...

O and by the way...im just starting riding street so im not that familiar with the terms yet, so i have no idea what your talking about....lol, like raked and HA and stuff

Raked means you HEAD ANGLE with be to extreme. basically if you headangle is low (66 degrees) your front end will be too high. If it was say 73 degrees it would be to low. Raked is an inclusive term to include LOW headangles. Try it. More than like you will like it initially cause wheelies, manuals and hops will seem easier. As you become better a more tradition street geometry will be better for more complex moves.
