Anyone else planning on riding in the Huntsville Raven Ride this weekend? I believe that is a MS150 recommended ride.

Great ride. Lots of hills. I'll be there if I can get my work schedule to comply.
I'll be there wearing my new jersey

Wish I could, but the Ag department here at Sam's got their 100th Anniversary stuff going on this weekend and unless I can enlist someone to take my place at Saturday's event, I'm tied up.
The routes are nice and I enjoyed it last year. I often ride them as part of my regular riding.

Did anyone do this? I went up to Sam Houston National Forest for my own ride and crossed paths with the Raven Ride on Saturday. I did around 85 miles leaving from the ranger station outside Waverly.
There sure are some obnoxious drivers up that way, including a guy in a pickup truck, complete with a confederate flag, that honked and veered at us as we were crossing the bridge over the lake on FM 1375.

I did the ride, but fortunately I didn't cross paths with any obnoxious drivers. There was one part that went the Nation Forest and the road was terrible, we almost needed a mountain bike on it. Otherwise, the rolling hills were nice. I guess I've been riding enough hills lately to make a difference, but my gf was struggling. It was a nice ride, the volunteers at the rest stops were awesome and the weather was perfect.

You're telling me. I believe that was FM 1791 and it was quite a rough stretch. It was nice to get out on some the 'hills' even though I am used to riding in real hills in CA and New Mexico :D
