Just to let everyone know...

We have been riding for years on Sundays at 9 AM from the Hanson Shaws supermarket parking lot in Hanson, MA every Sunday. We ride through the winter unless there are large deposits of snow on the ground. Snowy days are your only reprieve.

We have an arrowed ride for 30 miles. We also have a 50 mile route and a 80 mile route. Most of the terrain is flat and easy for nice casual winter riding. We usually get some coffee afterwards to warm up. The ice coffee usually is warmer than us. ;)

Nice, but I think you have it backwards.

We have a Tuesday night ride here--October through end of March--ESPECIALLY when there are large deposits of snow on the ground. Snowy days are never an excuse--except to get out and ride. Studs are your friends!

No No.. When it is snowing it is time to stay inside. I do no like to bike in the rain either. You must not have been to New England much. It is no fun to ride in a snowstorm when they pass you at 80+! They drive very fast and confidently in the snow around here. It just borders upon recklessness to contend with them on a road ride.

Forgot to add I know what you mean that snow and riding. The Snow is easy. It is the ice afterwards which is tougher. We just do not ride when any storm is out and reducing visibility. My club does not have any recurring weeknight rides through the winter season.
