Mountain Biking - syncros Hardcore Headset, purchase?

Hi, just wanted to know if the Syncros Hardcore headset is worth getting. I can pick it up for about $30. I have an '01 Specialized Enduro FSR, fox vanilla r fork. Would this be better then the Aheadset I currently have on now? Should I buy it, or is there something similar I can get.

I bought a Syncros headset 1 1/2 years ago. It's creaking like crazy.
I don't think it should be doing that. Gonna get it lubed soon. But I
don't know if I'd get another.

the syncros hardcore headset retails for $120... universalcycles.com's got it for $100.

joshe: i was going to order it from the same guy you're probably going to get it from, but he only ships to the states.

Too much. I like FSA pig DH sets. :)...cheap and very strong. This is one of the few items where you can save a tonne and not worry about fragility.

$30 for a $100 headset's a pretty good deal. i wouldn't exactly call that wasting your money.

king's usually retail for a little bit more than the syncros. you can usually find them for $120 or so. on ebay you can find some for $80-100.
