Antoinette is the name I wound up with for the cat that adopted us. :D It's truly amazing, though, how much fun you can have with a laser sight and a cat. :p

Well, right now, Annie is sitting on my feet. :p I wore her out with the laser, and she's just napping. She ignores the wife, pretty much, but hangs around as close to me as she can get.

I have a high end pet store that is ... OH NOES ... one block away from me that stocks some very different cat toys than say like petco or wal-mart, etc. Have one - a furry mouse that hangs from a stretchy cord from a wire assembly you hang from a doorway. Oh and there a very cool piece on the stretchy cord that allows for the mouse to be disassembled from cord (via plastic link) that's nice so when cat disengages mouse and proceeds to jump on bed with it and kick the snot out of it next to me at 3 am - I can reassemble in the morning.

She loves it though! I watch her at night from the computer room - hit the mouse and then drag it back as far as it can go and then let her RIP and the thing boings back and forth till it comes to a stop and she does it again.

Hey - it keeps the very occupied - and that is cool. My kitten is 6 mo old, your's is older but the kitten is still there!

Glad you kept her!!!!

<edit>

my kitten - greets me at door and follows me around (and does evil things as everyone knows) but she hangs with me and I have a chair next to me where she lays, other than that (when she's not into things) she's laying under my chair so I can step on her when I get up. Companions.

We buy all sorts of toys for the cats. But what do they like? The paper towel rolls, wrapping paper, paper bags are the best!. They always play with a toy for 2 min, and then ignore it. Pisses us off!

The Christmas tree was loads of fun! Just make sure you have unbreakable ornaments, AND NO TINSEL!

Oh Lord......

I just turned the laser sight off right as it hit her paw, and she started even looking at the bottom of her paw trying to figure out where the red dot went. I turned it back on coming off her other front paw, and she looked at it like WTF?:twitchy:

New studies in feline cognition to follow. :lol:

PM me a mailing address if you'd like to study the new lady of the house under the influence. ;) It's effectively organically grown catnip. Takes a couple days to sufficiently dry.

Just so's you know. I can no longer keep a roll of TP on the actual roll thingee by toilet - I came into a blue blizzard that other day. I can no longer keep my flip top trash can in bathroom because it is flipped over and anything in it is emptied out - that is sitting on dresser in bike room. I now have toaster on top of fridge as someone likes to stick their "hands" into it - doesn't matter if it's hot or not. Flashlight is on top of fridge - it has a string on it - I was woken up early morning the other day after a horror flick dream to a sound and I get up and listen to a dragging sound coming towards me and in from the shadows is the kitten draggin flashlight.

She's bound and determined to put that Bride of Frankenstein streak in my hair!!!!!

White in blonde? Strangely, I've never seen that pattern.

Well, right now, Annie is asleep under the computer desk, right at my feet......exhausted from chasing a red dot all over the Apt. :p I think I'm gonna have nice toasty warm feet this winter when I work at the computer. :p

no motor?

My Mom grows it at her place, and my brat cat loves it. Put it in an old sock and the cat will go nuts over it if she's got the catnip receptors. She'll just look at it and wonder what you're doing if she doesn't.
