My friends from the Balancecycling.com triathlon team invited me on this one. This will be my first century attempt. Previous best is 50-miler @ 18mph avg.
Registration is 40 dollars. Should be about 3 1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis to Park Rapids.
From what I hear - this is one of the best rides of the season. This event used to be a race, but is no longer sponsored?, so it has turned into more of a supported tour.
I'll be the guy with the Redline Cyclo-cross converted to road - with blue shimano shoes - (they didn't have red or black when i bought the bike.. hehe)
