I have a Truvativ Isis Elite double crank for cyclocross. I am wondering if anyone has a triple crank of any make that they would trade me. I am changing my bike to more of a touring than a cyclocross. I would include some money in the trade if you wanted. I know that this post is for free stuff, but I am just taking a chance here. I would normally give my old parts away when I dont need them anymore, but triple cranks tend to get kind of expensive.

I have some brand new extra lenses for a pair of Smith sunglasses - yellow (for overcast days) and rose (for normal conditions) , also a used but excellent condition set of clear for nighttime riding.

My glasses broke and they sent me a different model as a warranty replacement, so I don't need these lenses anymore.

PM me with model name of your Smiths and I will tell you if they'll fit. I'd just want the shipping costs.

Thanks

Sorry - maybe this is easier - The lenses I have are for the old Bazooka Slider models - the glasses are discontinued, but the lenses are still sold on the website.

Unfortunately the website doesn't show actual pics of the lenses - they use the same generic pic for all the lenses, so not sure if they will fit the models people have sent me PMs on....

anyhoo, unless you have the Bazookas, I'd recommend calling Smiths and asking of the bazooka styles wil fit.

then PM me with your info
Thanks, and sorry for any confusion/inconvenience

hi all

i have a pair of eai leather toe straps that i'd like to trade for the nylon laminated ones.

yeah, i'm vegan.
they came with a pedal & clip set and i didn't know they were leather.

i'm pretty sure they're the laminated kind as it has a nylon top and suede bottom (tell me if i'm wrong).

they're black but, i'm not too picky about what color to trade with.

i'm also looking for a nice used rear wheel or wheelset (iro, formula, velocity, etc.) if anybody has any.

thanks

FREE Specialized clip on visor for 2005 helmets Decibel or Aurora
http://mysite.verizon.net/res19qi1/for_sale/saleb-visor2/visor_top-s.jpg
I tried to sell this on eBay and got no bids. Since I can't use it, I'm now giving it away for FREE.

This is an original clip-on visor that came with a 2005 Specialized Decibel helmet. The Specialized website says it also fits the 2005 Aurora helmet. The visor is in new condition.
This item retails for $10 at Specialized.com and your typical bike shop.
If you're imaginitive, you can also use this to compliment your Batman attire and call this your batarang. :)

I recently bought a 700x28 Performance GT2 road tire (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=4780&subcategory_ID=5420) to use with my trainer. I cut open the packaging but never used the tire. It's free to someone living near Arlington, MA who can come by and pick it up.

http://www.badmachines.com/images/trek-frame.jpg

Free to good home in NYC: a Trek Antelope 800 frame / fork / parts. As noted in the above photo, it's a dirty girl, but it loves to get clean. It's a very small frame. Includes fork / headset / stem / handlebars / goofy plastic brake levers / front derailleur / crank (integrated, non-replaceable steel chainwheels) / bb / rear canti brake. 4130 steel, takes a 26.6 seatpost. In beat-up condition, but looks straight and dentless. Not worth shipping, but if somebody elsewhere wants any of the smaller parts - levers, der, brake - I'll happily strip and ship in return for postage. The frame and fork ain't getting shipped, though - this thing isn't worth having to buy a box for, and my generous local bike stores charge for their boxes, but it might make a good basis for a winter bike you won't be sorry to leave outdoors in the weather.

Send a PM if you're interested... it's going to the scrapyard with the rest of my recyclables Monday morning if unclaimed!

I have two sets of clipless pedals up for grabs.

The first is a set of Tioga MTB pedals. They're fairly beat up in appearance, but if memory serves they worked OK (for Tioga pedals anyway) last time I used them. Tioga pedals are somewhat famous for being hard to get in and out of, and having used these for a season I have to say I agree. The redeeming thing about these is that they're free. If you crash because you couldn't unclip I'll comiserate (been there, done that) but I'll also point out that you were warned. :-) The cleats for these are still attached to an old pair of Specialized shoes (size 44) that I'll include with the pedals if you want them; the shoes are in decent shape, but they're nothing special and don't fit my shape of feet well enough that I want to keep them.

The second set of pedals is a set of Time Sprints. These are brand-new and unused; I bought them years ago and never got around to buying shoes to fit them. There are a few minor scuffs on them from rattling around in my spare parts box for the past decade or so, but nothing major. The cleats and all the hardware for mounting them are included, except for two star washers that are mysteriously missing but should be easy to replace.

Shimano brake pads that I *think* are from a set of 105 brake calipers that I sold away, because I was using the 105 group on a frame built for cantis. Just pay for shipping which should be super cheap. First to PM me an address, gets 'em. Figure postage, small padded envelope via First Class? Else, I'm open to suggestions.

I have a request, it would be really great if someone could help me out with this.

Recently a friend's bike was taken on a trip and it seems that somehow the bike seat, and seat post were probably stolen off of his bike.

Heres where this thread comes in, they are looking for a seat post and saddle for his bike. Its a x-mart bike and it doesn't need anything really fancy, thats why the really dont want to spend much money at all. So if anyone has a seat post and or saddle for his bike that would be great.

Oh by the way the size for the seat post is 26mm.

He is also looking for a seat post collar clamp, but I have a feeling that I can get that cheap enough that I can handle that. But please if anyone can help me out with this that would be great. I am going to call my lbs tomorrow and see what they can do for me too.

Thank you so so much!

Anybody in NYC want a Kenda 26 x 1.75 city tire? Says it's "all-terrain", but with a very low-profile tread... Sidewall is dry and cracked, tread looks essentially new. I wouldn't say no to some kind of trashed 700C tire for my trainer in exchange, but if you don't have one and need this tire, it's yours.

Not worth shipping.

Drop an IM if you want it; otherwise, trash day's Monday!

Lookin' for a mtb triple crank set - preferably alloy, doesn't have to be pretty but needs to be functional. I've got a cheap bent steel one on my Gary Fisher Mamba commuter that needs replacing.

If you haven't heard, the Zinn books kick butt and take names. I'm giving away this one because I recently got the 2nd edition. Condition is decent, though a section of pages have come unglued from the binding. Sounds worse than it is, and what the hey, it's free.

Ok, one more thing I really don't need that maybe someone else can put to good use - a set of crank ring bolts. These were *slightly* too long to go on my Shimano 105 crank but would probably work for any crank with some small washers on the backside. Shipping on these probably closer to $2.00 as I'm running out of padded envelopes to ship in and they are a bit heavier than the rim strips that I just shipped.

PM for dibs!
