I just bought the Edge and I'm trying to download rides...when I download them I can't find them anywhere. I'm using the tcx format. Any thoughts on where they are going?

On the 305 menu:
Training --> Courses
If you don't see it, it didn't get there.

Are talking about downloading them from a website or downloading them to you Edge?

I wasn't able to find them on my laptop...they were downloading to a folder that I don't usually use so I missed them...and they didn't show up in search either, but I have them now. Thank you.

Are you using the Garmin Training Center program?

Yes, but I was trying to upload a route from mapmyride.com to the Garmin.
