The new one I have is very stiiff--won't go in and out.

There is an adjustment knob on top of the fork. You need to turn it and loosen up the tension on the internal spring. It may take a lot of turns to get things where it actually absorbs shocks.

This is a head-shock design with no adustability. I had to completely disassemble everything and "hone-out" the inner-bore of the outer tube (very time consuming and difficult). The Germans simply made it too tight.
