Hey there,

Just surfing my local kijiji and noticed a Yamaguchi for sale for $450.

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this frame builder. I understand he builds many custom frames and that they don't go cheap. Based on some of the components I would guess it's from the mid 80's but it is a bit of a frankenbike.

Any opinions on the price/the bike itself?

Thanks in advance... here's the link

1) I'm moving this to valuation thread, probably get better responses there.

As for Yamaguchi's reputation. Richard Sachs calls him Yamaguchisan, (or sama) and is
very complimentary about him. Yamaguchi is a very well respected builder.
that said, I'm not a huge fan of 650cm wheeled triathlon bikes (which I'm going to
assume this is).
The bike is unusual in that it's the first 650cm wheel bike by Yamaguchi I've seen. I'd
say if it fits, then buy it. I don't think you'll find a Yamaguchi for less anywhere.
