Hi,
I have a 26" cromo Villiger Cabonga (http://www.re-cycle.nl/merken/villiger.htm) trekking bike that's designed for serious travel. The front fork has minimal trail, via an exaggerated offset, to facilitate handling when front panniers are attached. With front end weighted down, it rides like a dream. However, when the bike is unloaded, the low trail makes it feel somewhat unstable.
It's served me well throughout many years of fully loaded travel, through many countries. But now I'd like to use my bike more as a commuter, and for travel I'll use a trailer instead of panniers. Therefore, I figure it'd be most sensible to switch to a fork with maximum trail via minimum offset. I still want the mid-fork eyelets for a Tubus front rack, though.
Can anyone tell me where to get cromo forks?
Thanks in advance!
