Based on what I saw on the video clip from Oprah, I would say that Ms. Phillips looks as if she has been ridden hard and put away wet, but that might be a little tacky in this context.

I think the world could have done without knowing that little piece of dirt assuming it is true. It certainly didn't make her any less disturbing.

When I first saw this post yest., I didn't know what to make of it. After seeing it on the "news" last night, I understand why you asked. Just like what was said by some on TV, she has a credibility problem. Geraldo for instance pointed that out, others have too. Like him, my gut says it could be true. She's mental for sure, as well as being a substace abuser. Let's face it, rational thinking doesn't prevail when one is messed up. Papa, a brilliant musician was also a blow monster which is capable of anything. Besides, having seen and read her years ago saying that she and Papa were drug buddies since she was a kid (the 70s), nothing is beyond the pale. Weigh-in the fact that she wants to sell her book.

i kind of agree, i think she is telling the truth. It's like he didn't think of her as a daughter, but more like a hip young girlfriend. They never really had a father-daughter relationship, so it's not surprising that he would have done that. But why go public aside from money? probably her therapist told her to. Poor screwed up girl,she never had a chance at a normal life, very sad. Let's face it, if her parents weren't rock stars, she and her brother would have been taken into care.

For all we know this is total fabrication....how else is this washed up, no talent, has been, one time semi-star supposed to make a buck other than to make up some bizarre story that celebrity starved crazies want to read?
