Can he keep the white into Paris? Man, that would rock. He's :45 ahead but I'm worried he used up everything he had keeping the yellow. Gotta put him on the "Cheer for" list. Awesome!

PS Yay Virenque too :)

I couldn't agree with you more. Voeckler has been extremely impressive. Especially when he was just trying to stay in yellow once they got to the mountains. He looked like the happiest man in the world when he knew he could keep it one more day, even though he was only a mere :22 seconds ahead. My hat goes off to him.

Unfortunately, I don't see any way Voeckler keeps the white jersey after Saturday. I think he'll lose 2 to 3 minutes to Karpets. Karpets looks pretty good and Voeckler has paid a huge toll being in yellow and now white for 2 weeks.

Yeah, this guy is going places. What a trooper to dig deep and keep the yellow with only 22 seconds left. He could have just conceded the jersey and rolled in easy. The smile on his face made me want to cheer.

You could say that the only reason Voeckler leads the Young Rider competition is because the peloton allowed him to get into a breakaway, knowing that he wasn't strong enough to be a threat.

If Karpets can take the lead from him, he deserves a round of applause. He was 15 minutes behind Voekler at one point.

As for Virenque, I don't like him or the KOTM competition, but he has shown great form this year... much better than I expected.

The peloton may have "given" Voeckler the yellow jersey, but, once he had it, he defended it like a champion.

Props to Voeckler. He gave us a great show this year.

I too have been pleasantly surprised by Virenque's good showing. He is KOM and is respectably placed in GC also.

And I applaud Voekler's and Karpets' efforts as well.

Heck, I applaud them all!

Besides LA winning no. 6... Voekler stands out to me as the biggest story coming out of the Tour this year...

That dude, represented, and once he got the yellow jersey defended it the best he could... he's only what? 23 or so ? If he ends up on a better team down the line, he will be one to look out for... much Like Basso when he won the White Jersey a few years ago.. you jsut knew this guy ws going places...

Allez Voeckler ! Kick some ass in the TT.. I'm pullin' for ya
