My husband and I have a 1981 peugeot grand turissmo tandem. Sadly iits rear hub has just reached the end of its days and we are struggling to find a replacement. Does anyone know where we could try to find an ATOM 5-0 hub, either in England or continental europe?

If you don't get better responses or enough, you may want to re-post in the vintage forum, a few fellows there have the answers for Peugots. I'm not trying to discourage or dismiss. It's just that your bike is more Fench than tandom, if that makes sense. You may prevail here as well. welcome.. if it's not been said already.

Atom hubs will be hard to come by.
Other hub could do the trick but you'll not have an Atom drum then.
We had an Atom hub/drum back in the mid-70 on a Follis tandem; somewhat problematic for us and got rid of it. Did fine without a drum brake (unless you'll be descending some steep twisty mountains).
Just our experience.

I think I've been seeing an Atom hub for sale on the UK Peugeot tandem site------I am seeking to buy an old Peugeot tandem with mixte stoker as an FYI so I google peugeot tandem daily

and there is an Atom hub in the for sale section of this site----let me know if you can't find it in a hurry, or if you'll sell your bike!
