Time has come to purchase some new shoes and I was wondering which bike store in the area has the best range to try on? Cheers!

B&L has a good selection. Not cheap though.

I found my Sidis on sale at REI. They don't have a huge selection, but they always have something on sale.

Nytro in Encinitas, they're the only store in the county that carries Bont.

Pearl Izumi Factory Store in Del Mar Heights (San Diego). Located at Del Mar Heights Rd and El Camino Real. If you're a size 43 (EUR), they have sample shoes (think HEAVY discount). I've bought a few there.

Thanks people. In addition, has anyone been to the Bikebling.com store in Escondido? They seem to have a good range on their website...

I'm going to have to second the vote for B&L. Not only do they have pretty good quality products, but for the most part friendly and knowledgable sales reps as well. The Solana beach location has a better selection than the one on Rosecrans, but it's always jam packed. I think the 101 riders use it as a SAG stop.

They do have a good pile of shoes right now at Bikebling. However their customer service is on a level with Performance = don't expect much of any. They seem cool but from the 2 times I've been in there, they seem to lack knowledge about a lot of the products and they are kind of sketchy when you try to get into detail or inquire about the return policy. Plus it takes about an hour to get help. I would say that if you have an idea of what shoes you want and know your size, check if performance or REI has them. They usually have the best prices.

Cheers! I ended up going to Bikebling last week and picked up some Shimano SPDs. They did have a good range of stuff available to try on (I didn't know which ones to get) compared to Performance and REI in the Kearney Mesa area...

Find a shop that sells Specialized bikes and try Specialized shoes.

I ended up buying them over Sidi's because they fit me better.
