Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Okay, I've decided to buy my friend's Saracen Havoc Frame for 100 pounds, uhhh its red in color and i know its not the 2004 version. can u please tell me out of 10 how good the frame itself is, and what Year's model it is, since the 2004 havocs dont come in red. and is 100 pounds a good price for the frame or not seeing as its an older havoc frame.

Plus i have decided to build my own bike from BMX and MTB parts. Ill list the things ill use to build it, plus im own a low budget thats why im using my old BMX parts, im chucking the old BMX frame into the river cos its a barracuda trick 1.

Parts:

FRAME: Saracen Havoc

WHEELS: (Hopefully getting new ones chucking old ones, I wanna get "Propeller Blade" type rims instead ofspokes, can u tell me where i can buy some in the UK near Surrey or on the Net? CHEAP please!!!)

PEDALS: Kona Jack **** standard

CRANK: Crappy 1 piece crank from the BARRACUDA TRICK 1 BMX.

TYRES: Kenda kontact

CHAIN and FREEWHEEL: BARRACUDA TRICK 1 bits

BARS and GRIPS: (i need good un's that are cheap, i want bars like the Trial Bikes have eg ONZA T-Lite, and im thinking of getting a Lizard Skins Lock-on Grips.)

SEAT: Barracuda triock 1

BRAKES: May not have them on!!!

If i have missed anything, please feel free to say.

Envision the bike in ur head and please say if it will be a suitable bike for Dirt and Street riding!

THX GUYS!
