I was down there like around 545am. Cal Trans will be working on the 84 until 6pm. I barely made the cutoff time.

Yeah, there was a warning about the Niles Canyon closure in the local paper (The Argus).

I didn't catch the paper. I noticed a lot of cars turning back as well, so looks like I wasn't the only one.
