Thanks for all the help in getting this “senior citizen” up to speed on this wonderful event. I have just two more questions. I promise.
As I observe the peloton, the blue train always appears well organized – riding very close. As I look further back, it almost appears that the remainder of the group is a random mixture of teams. Is this simply because Postal is protecting Lance or just superior tactics? (An example is the current wearer of the white jersey – who appears to wonder all over on his own. By the way, I really hope this kid can hang on. That face is great, and he’s shown a lot of guts)
Lastly, is stage 20, the ride into Paris, a competitive stage, or mostly ceremonial?
