I am going to buy a new bike this is a bike and I have a few criteria.
I am having some trouble understanding the Colnago lines however.
I have only ridden one modern bike at any length it is the aluminum
litespeed that I own, which I love. I love it because of its stiffness.
Thing is I don't know if it is really stiff or just stiffer than what I had ridden
before. The criteria for my new bike in this order is raceable, light, stiff,
some what reasonably priced under$3500, comfortable. When I say under
$3500 I mean specd. w/ 10sp. So that leaves about $1200-$1800 for frame.
Colnago fits this bill w/ the dream plus b-stay, from discount shops. Problem is I cant find descriptions of this bike and what it does well other than what is written at competativecyclist, and wrenchscience. I am also considering
the Giant TCR series which more has been written about. Can you guys point me in the right direction towards comments on colnagos other than C-40's and CT-1,2. And that are you suggestions on set ups?

thanks,
Joseph

This might help but it seems a bit light...

Might ask over at the Serotta wesite forum - lots of very knowledgeable people over there.

I know Colnago makes great frames, but $1800 is high (to me) for an Al frame. I didn't look much but I see the Dream Plus B-Stay for ~$1900 (I'm sure you can find it for less). Have you considered a Ti frame?
Try look at:

If they have one in your size, for $1800, I'd take a Merlin Extralight over the B-Stay any day of the week.
I know you want DA-10 or Record-10, but remember, spend your pennies on [a] frame/fork [b] wheelset then [c] components ... in that order.

Just my 2 worthless cents worth ...
Best.
