i have a haro f1c and my brakes are worn out,someone told me to get mountain bike brakes but idk what is good and what not.i need to levers and pads but i wan them to be really good and last..help

what kind of mounts do you have
u-brake mounts
or v-brake mounts
for a lever i recomend the odyssey mono-lever small
and i ride kool stop eagle2 pads

your brakes are worn out? That doesn't make any sense. Do you mean your brake pads are worn out?
Just get some new pads : Coolstop eagles or something.
If you need a lever, get the dia-Compe tech 77 lever

if you need new brakes, get diatech hombres. Don't fall for the expensive brake setups, they all work the same

Not necessarily. Some have better braking response.

Yeah, but how responsive do you really need it to be? It seems like the biggest difference can be had with a stiffer cable.
