I'm restoring an old Peugeot bike.
It had 26 x 1+3/8 presta tubes in it.
I went to get some more but the bro at the shop said they don't make them pv anymore and they're only schrader. Is he right? I saw some on line but I don't want to mail order them every time I need a tube.
So, should I drill? ty ty for your help!

Are you SURE the rim took ONLY presta? It's conceivably possible someone used presta with a schraeder valve size rim.
you can use a 622x32mm presta tube in 26 1-3/8 if it's EA3 / ISO 590mm
it's not ideal, but it works.

No... 26 x 1 3/8 tubes in presta should be available at your well stocked LBS.
I run 26x1 1/8 Presta, I buy my tubes on Nashbar.
I'd rather get long stem valves, but I haven't found a source.

Yes, I have the schrader tubes, and tried to use them but alas...
