I am planning on upgrading by mid 90s Bianchi road bike. It has an 8-speed cassette, i think 11-21 and 53/39

planning on going out to 13-26 instead of spending the $ to get a campy contact crank. will also need a new chain, maybe replace the pulleys.

is there any difference between campy exa-drive cassettes and other campy models or will the exa-drive work fine with my current 8 speed drive train?

There is no choice when it comes to outdated Campy 8 speed cassettes. You can buy what they offer and it will work. 8 and 9 speed chains were of the old protruding pin design and the cassettes were made to work with those chains. Newer chains 10/11 speed chains have flush-pins and the cogs are different to work with those chains.
