I had a flat last night so I went to the LBS to pickup a tube and CO2 cartridges. He was kind enough to throw in the tube free. When he handed me the box it stated 700x18-20c. I asked him about the size. He said it will work just fine. He knows a whole lot more than I do in these matters.
What do you think? put the tube in my seatbag and use it as the spare? Or go buy the appropriate size tube for the bag, and put this one away for a real emergency.
Thanks.

It'll work fine, but because it is a bit narrower than a tube made for a 700x25c tire it will stretch itself thinner to fill the tire, thereby becoming slightly more vulnerable to punctures.
If it were me, I'd use it until I could get a 700x25c tube, then keep it for a spare.

Louis, thanks for the advice. Thats what I figured the situation would be.
Needless to say a more puncture resistant tube is what I need. Being that it's the second flat in two weeks. Once the day I test rode the bike, and Thursday night I had another.
I might bring the rim to the LBS and have him check out the rim tape. This puncture was on rimbearing surface of the tube not on the tire side. It may be getting punctured from within.
Thanks
