Hi, just wonder if the grip shifter on the Vitesse D7 can be changed to an index shifter like the Curve SL so that it be installed with the longer Ergon grip and bar-end. Is it worth the while even if it mean changing the cog, rd, etc. Anyone done that?

Doesn't seem worthwhile to me. The Rolhoff/Nexus Twist Shift style Ergon grips fit on the D7, giving your left hand the longer grip and your right hand.. well, it can always slide onto the twist shifter a bit if you need to do that. I plan to move my Ergons from my Downtube Mini to my D7 soon.

Thanks for the response. The Ergon twist grip seem too short for comfort and I will also prefer thumb shifter as I find the twist shifter less ideal. Which would be a good thumb shifter and rd combination for D7 for general riding?
